I'm not going to give my thoughts and opinions, but what baffles me is that if this was a pact and it was planned, what are the odds?! I don't think I have 16 friends now, let alone when I was in high school. But 16 friends who are that f***ing CRAZY?! Really?!? None of them said, "Hey...I heard a rumor that kids are a lot of work and really expensive, maybe we should re-think this and re-visit the idea when we're 30?" I'm trying to picture what this conversation would have been like if I was this insane in high school. Here is what I imagine it would have been like between myself and Nancy if I was that dumb.
(imaginary)Me: I love babies. I want one.
Nance: Me too. You know, when I'm old and married of course.
(imaginary)Me: No, I want one now. It would be super fun!
Nance: Uh, you don't even have a boyfriend and you want a baby? there's this thing called college that you might want to check out before having kids. Just a thought.
(imaginary)Me: No, babies are FUN! I want one now! That homeless guy in P-town* is kinda good-looking, he could be the daddy. Our babies would be pretty!
Nance: You're on crack. Go away. We are no longer friends.
(imaginary)Me: Come on! You get pregnant too, we could raise our babies together! They would be friends!
Nance: You need therapy. I don't want to be associated with you. Ever.
(imaginary) Me: It would be fun!
Nance: I'm calling your mother.
Besides the fact that I was raised with some common sense, I had friends who had common sense. This whole story just baffles me. And I fear for the future.
And I lied. I obviously have shared my thoughts and opinions. Sue me.
Anyway, our friend Rob was in town back from Iraq, so we hit up the LES last night. Here's a pic.

Sue, you left out the part where i smacked you. lol. those kids are crazy. i heard on the news it was b/c they were inspired by the movie Juno. WTF. only in boston.
These kids are nuts. I guess the part where Jennifer Garner & Justin Bateman's characters discussed their struggles with infertility went over their heads?! Not to mention that Juno had no desire to keep the baby and made the mature decision to give him up for adoption!! Talk about completely missing the message.
