Before.....
In all, 10 inches was cut. Locks of Love is not the only organization out there. There's also Beautiful Lengths which is a charity headed up by Pantene. That picture above actually makes my hair look longer...I must be shrugging my shoulders or something because the hair really doesn't fall that long when I look in the mirror. But regardless, you get the point.
I'm debating on whether or not I'll do this again. This is the second time I've donated, and going that long can be a pain in the neck, but it's for a good cause. Just to debunk a myth about locks of love, you can have color-treated hair. They just don't want someone who colors their hair on a weekly basis. If you get highlights every six months or so, your hair should be healthy enough to be used. If unsure, your hairdresser should be able to tell you if your hair is healthy enough.
In other news, the apartment hunt is still on. The lead I had in Hoboken was no longer. When I emailed the girl, she had already found a roommate. Actually, she had already found a roommate when Mrs. A gave me her info, so it was too late to begin with.

Then I emailed a girl named Jen I had met through my friend Blair. I met her back in March when Blair was in town on business. Jen is moving back to Atlanta and was looking for someone to move into her apartment on the UES (Upper East Side for you non-NYC peeps) on June 1st. Back then I told her that was too far off. Now that we're approaching May, I figured I would shoot her an email. she had just found someone the DAY BEFORE. This past Thursday I went to happy hour with my co-workers. My friend (and now co-worker) introduced me to his girlfriend who said to me, "I had a friend looking for a roommate just last week! I wish I had known about you!" Murphy's Law, anyone? Oh, and the place I checked out in Murray Hill last week went to someone else. But on Tuesday I'm checking out a new place out on the UES, so we'll see how that goes. Also, Mrs. A ran into a friend of her other daughter earlier this week and he said he knew of some people looking for roommates, so he gave her his card to give to me, so I'll shoot him an email tomorrow. But that's it on the apartment front.
As for work, things are going really well! It's kind of boring right now because I'm working with the research department and they're training me. They're all really nice, but I'm just crunching numbers all day. And I'm on the opposite side of the office from my team, so I feel out of the loop! I believe after I get back from Atlanta on May 5th, I'll be sitting with my team and then the following week I should be selling. But overall, the office is really great. My team already has a beach weekend planned where we'll be leaving early on Friday to go to one of the guys' beach house. Pretty sweet! Oh, and half our team is Irish, the other half is Italian, and our manager is half-Irish, half-Italian. Such a NY thing, no one would care about that in Atlanta! :)
So I'm headed back to the ATL this week for A) the Bon Jovi concert on Thursday where I have FRONT ROW seats because Lindsey is the coolest person on earth and B) Lindsay and Jeff's wedding. I'm looking forward to it!

Last night I went into the city and hung out with my friend Amy, one of my sorority sisters from college. It was basically a pub crawl of the bars on 2nd Ave. :) It baffles me that after only a few months in South Carolina, I was saying "y'all" and "yes ma'am," but after a year and a half in NYC, Amy still has the strongest southern accent you will ever hear. It's actually really funny.

I'm trying to think if I'm leaving anything out aside from the exhausting commute I've been enduring. If you guys have any questions, just comment and I'll address them in my next posting. For now, I gotta run.
