So here's something fun. My office is around the block from the Ziegfeld theatre. For those of you not familiar, this is the theatre where they hold pretty much all of the NYC premieres of new movies. I had completely forgotten this. When I was up here two years ago for radio training, it was the premiere of that 9/11 movie with Nicolas Cage, and people were saying that they saw him on the red carpet.
Anyway, last night was the premiere of "Made of Honor" starring McDreamy himself (also known as "Loverboy," for those of you who grew up in the 80s--"extra anchovies"), Patrick Dempsey.
I had heard rumblings about something about Patrick Dempsey yesterday but didn't catch on. Funny, because also two years ago he was in town filming what I guess was "Enchanted" on our street. Anyway, I figured it out by the end of the day that it was the premiere of his new movie. However, I didn't try to catch a glimpse. A) It was rainy and yucky out; B) the line was around the block; and C) I just wanted to get home.
But I figure maybe on a day when it's nice out and I finally live in the city, I'll wait around and check it out. could be fun!
Current Book: "Salem Falls" by Jodi Picoult (will probably finish on my way home today, so I need a new book, STAT!)
