Bathrooms

Yes, this post is about bathrooms.

My cousin Caroline and I met for dinner/drinks last night at this place called Vynl. If you take a look, you'll see it's a very funky place, with a lot of music memorabilia. The menus were made from record covers (for you kids out there, records are what people used to listen to before CDs were invented); mine was actually Billy Idol and it's sad, I could only think of his role in "The Wedding Singer;" not any of his songs.

Anyway, that's not the point. The point is the bathrooms in this place. There were 4 individual bathrooms and they were named Cher, Dolly, Elvis, and Nelly. I immediately was confused and had a flashback to the late Steamhouse in Atlanta (moment of silence, please) where the bathrooms were "Olivia Newton's John" and "Elton's John". So anyway, I went into the "Cher" bathroom, where I was greeted with a mosaic wall of her face, the song "Believe" started playing, and they had a Cher Barbie doll encased on the wall. So freaking cool. Don't think I didn't consider bringing in my camera the next time.

I also went to the "Nelly" bathroom, and it was the same thing---mosaic portrait, doll, and the song was "Country Grammar." this is a brilliant idea. The food was okay and it was a little on the loud side, but I would totally just go back for these bathrooms. My roommate told me at one of the other locations there's a Madonna bathroom as well. My goal is to go to all the locations and see all the bathrooms. I know, I need to shoot high.

Happy Fleet Week, everyone!
