I finally joined a gym. I'm a member at the New York Health and Raquet Club. Basically that means I'm the only 20-something in the tri-state area who doesn't go to NY Sports Club, but this was the cheapest discount my company had. Apparently NYHR is pretty ritzy. My friend Lauren told me that I would meet hot rich men there. Sounds good to me.
So I didn't get there until around 8 last night. As I was on the cross-trainer, I started to scan the room for these allegedly "rich, hot men." The first man I saw was older, in his 50s, one machine over. Not the demographic I was looking for. Didn't really notice anyone else.
So said older gentleman gets off his machine and I see his face. It's none other than Anthony LaPaglia from "Without a Trace." Those of you in my age group may remember him best as Joe from Empire Records. I included a video from the movie below. Joe shows up about 30 seconds in. Anyway, maybe he can introduce to the younger, closer-to-my-age co-stars of his from Without a Trace. Like Eric Close or Enrique Murciano. Let's keep our fingers crossed. ;)
