Pics of the Apartment and Murphy's Law strikes again

Some pics of the apartment for those of you interested...
This is my room--the picture taken from the door. Like I said, ghetto fabulous with my aero bed on the floor, but it's home.
This is the view from the corner window. That HUGE wardrobe is my closet...the dresser is where my TV will go, and next to that is a bookshelf which you can't see because the door is blocking it. And I'm very excited about that full-length mirror. I feel like I haven't had a full-length mirror in ages!
The Living room--that's my room just off the living room. Jessica and Bailey's rooms are to the right.
The kitchen.
View from my room--facing NE.

And I got a kick of this from down the street:

Yes, Atlantans, that's a Post Property right down the street from me. Just a tad different from Atlanta. You know, little things, like it's a high-rise, has roof access, a doorman, that sort of thing. Oh, and the rent for a one bedroom is $4,000. Yeah. I'll stick with my converted 3 bedroom, thanks.

So on Monday I finally got to go to the dry cleaners. I hadn't gone in nearly a month, so I had a ton of clothes. So I go to this place around the corner and it costs me about $100 which is about what I expected. Now, in my neighborhood, practically every other store is a cleaners. So I just picked one that was closest and was open until 7P. If anyone remembers that episode of Sex and the city where Carrie's dress is held hostage at the cleaners, you know why this is important (http://youtube.com/watch?v=8or9Z-idlOA&feature=related). Anyway, after I dropped off half my wardrobe, I headed south on 2nd only to pass a cleaners two blocks down that had just opened. There was a sign in the window that said, "50% off all dry cleaning." I nearly ran out in front of a bus. I could have saved $50. Oh well. Such is life, as my mom would say.
