"I don't know where you're from, but in New York you get killed for not minding your own business."
-Maintenance Man #1 to Maintenance Man #2 on my way to work today.
Very sound advice. Actually, I have no idea what the hell they were talking about, just thought it was funny that this is what I overheard.
So I had another client dinner last night. I was the only girl which was fine, but that meant I was biting my tongue when it was suggested we walk from the office to Bryant Park. Because you know if there was another woman there in heels, we would have cabbed it.
Anyway, it had just rained so it was terribly humid. By the time we got to Bryant Park Grill, we were all sweating. But apparently we just had to sit outside instead of in the air conditioned restaurant. After about an hour, it began pouring. But no, we didn't move inside, we enjoyed the rain! We covered by umbrellas and for the most part stayed dry, but I would have rathered the air-conditioning. Overall, I wasn't really impressed with the place. The service was top-notch, but the menu selection was limited and while I enjoyed my meal, it was nothing compared to Villa Mosconi last week. Another client dinner tonight, maybe that will be better. And then the Yankee game tomorrow night (cap night!) which will make last night and tonight just look lame. :)
Current Books: "Killer Smile" by Lisa Scottoline and "Summer Lovin" by Carly Phillips
Yes, I'm reading two books. One just wasn't enough.
