My Boys

TOTALLY forgot about my shameless TV plug for this week! I was so wrapped up in the IKEA debacle that I forgot. And by the way, it's 645p and I STILL have not heard back from them. I think they should send my correct mattress, refund my money, AND send someone to put my bed together for me. I think that's more than fair.

Anyway, my plug this week is for My Boys on TBS.

I knew I would like this show when it first started. It's about a female sports writer, PJ (played by Jordana Spiro), and her group of friends; all of whom (with the exception of  her ultra-feminine gal-pal Stephanie, played by Kellee Stewart) are guys. What's not to like? I'll admit when the show first started, I wasn't that into it. But now going into it's 3rd season, the cast and writers have gotten their groove, and while it's no Friends, it's still a fun show to watch.

Side note - anyone else think it's weird that Friends still has a full-blown website? Me too.

Some people think PJ is pretty much me. Well, not quite. While I love sports, have more guy friends than girlfriends and would rather be in jeans and a t-shirt at a dive bar instead of gussied up at a trendy club, my dating life is nowhere near as interesting as PJs. She dated a Cub for pete's sake. So let's just say I live vicariously through her. Actually, we'll say that she has my dream life in Chicago. And any show that addresses the importance of "douchebag intervention" is a must-watch in my book.
