Life's Mysteries

There are many mysteries in life that keep us up at night. A few examples:

  • Why does the sun lighten our hair, but darken our skin?
  • Why does Donald Duck wear a towel when he comes out of the shower, when he doesn't usually wear any pants?
  • What does "O.K." stand for?
  • Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

But lately, the one I just can't figure out is why in God's name is there always a freaking line outside Abercrombie and Fitch on 5th Avenue?

Whether it's a lunchtime or rush hour, I have yet to not see a line there. It's Abercrombie and Fitch, people. Seriously? It's at every mall in the United States. Hell, hop a bus to Jersey and go to the same store to get your clothes tax-free.

Someday I'll actually ask someone on that line what the hell they're waiting for. Because I know it can't be for their cargo pants.

Some mysteries are better left unanswered. ;-)

OK stands for "oll korrect." The result of a fad for comical abbreviations that flourished in the late 1830s and 1840s.

And who told you there's no sales tax in Jersey?

Oh yes, things that make you go "humm" ... the unknown of this world is a beautiful thing.
